Our story
Fast forward
They met in December 2025, thanks to the magic of the internet, and from the very beginning, things moved fast.
On their first date at Monk's Kettle, Michelle ordered her favorites, pickles and french fries, which Dave correctly recognized as a sign of excellent taste and even better company. Between stories about old cars, a shared love of art, and an unexpected mutual appreciation for beef wellington, it was clear they were off to the races.
Fast has always suited them. Dave drives a 1973 Barracuda. Michelle rescues greyhounds. Just 12 days after meeting, Dave deleted Tinder. Three months in, while traveling together through Tokyo and Vietnam, they said “I love you” for the first time. By six months, Dave had moved in, and life together was already in full motion.
Somewhere between long drives in old muscle cars and cross-continental adventures, they also began helping each other do something new: slow down, settle in, and build a home together.
Dave proposed at the Teotihuacan pyramids in Mexico, because ordinary proposals were never really their style. One year and one month after their first date, their greatest adventure arrived: Baby Oliver.
Now Michelle & Dave are looking ahead to a bright future in the Oakland Hills with Oliver and Fern the greyhound, a future full of road trips, new adventures, and a lifetime of finding the right balance between moving fast and enjoying the ride, side by side. And they are grateful you all are along for the ride.
